Call of Duty WWII First Trailer Reveal

Call of Duty WWII First Trailer Reveal

While there are still a few hours to wait before the trailer is released, you can dive into the Twitch chat right now to talk with fellow Call of Duty enthusiasts. Looking beyond the new third mode - the co-op mode - we might be seeing something else that's a bit new, but also old.

In the British campaign, players take on the role of Sergeant Evans of the 6 Airborne Division who meets up with Captain Price who has appeared in previous CODs. From there, they can specialize based on the part they play with African-American GIs, female resistance fighters and British soldiers provided as examples.

A full multiplayer reveal is coming at E3 in June, where it will also be playable on the show floor. Thankfully, as with many modern game reveals, the announcement will be live streamed around the world via the Call of Duty website. The beta will launch first on PS4. Unlike the one's for Call of Duty: Infinity Warfare which received an unprecedented amount of dislikes on YouTube, the reception for this one seems much more positive so far. While the modern-day Call of Duty games were still in line with the franchise's roots as a "gritty, boots on the ground" shooter, games like Advanced Warfare and Infinite Warfare featured all manner of insane sci-fi silliness.

Additionally, Call of Duty WWII will introduce a couple of new gameplay modes.

Sledgehammer Games and Activision has finally revealed Call of Duty: WWII at a special event in London.

"In Call of Duty: WWII, players will battle across Europe through strategic locations in history's most monumental war". The marketing material, leaked via Call of Duty blog Charlie Intel, mentioned access to a private beta granted to players that preorder the game. "In addition to the game's boots-on-the-ground combat, Multiplayer offers a host of new mode, system and gameplay innovations across iconic map locations; while an all-new Nazi Zombies Cooperative mode unleashes a startling, new storyline and adrenaline filled experience". First, there won't be a Switch version of the game - WWII heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 3 November.
