Starbucks creates magical, color-changing 'Unicorn Frappuccino,' available for a limited time

Wednesday, the coffee chain announced the official release of its Unicorn Frappuccino blended beverage. The colorful drink is only available for a limited time only however, for just five days starting April 18th.

It's topped with whipped cream and a healthy dusting of pink sugar and blue "sour powder". Starbucks promises a magical drink that starts off sweet and fruity and then transforms into tart flavors. I was sold promises of a drink that would change to the colour pink upon a quick swirl, but, to my dismay, the pink colour was blended onto the top layer of the drink. Despite all the hype surrounding the new frozen drink, there are still so many questions yet to be answered.

Really, it does not matter what sweets and medicines and emotions these coloured powders taste like: This drink only exists to be Instagrammed, hashtag unicorn emoji, hashtag magical. As you continue to stir, the flavor keeps on evolving into new surprising tastes, while the color patterns alternate. As you mix, the flavor changes from sweet to sour - but mostly it tasted like liquefied tropical Skittles. And the sour powder and drizzle are indeed sour.

The unicorn food trend is nowhere near its end; Starbucks has just proved that by launching a Unicorn Frappuccino.

"Excuse me, what's in the unicorn frappuccino?"

Small plane crashes next to Lisbon-area supermarket; 5 dead
The plane had crashed shortly after taking off from a local airfield, with Marseille said to have been its intended destination. Authorities declined to identify those killed in the plane until their identities could be compared with the flight manifesto.

For those of you who are concerned about the health of this drink, you should know that it is caffeine free.

So here are the dietary details: A tall Unicorn Frappuccino made with whole milk and whipped cream would have 280 calories and 39 grams of sugar.

They both seemed pleasantly surprised by the limited edition drink and said it was not what they expected.

Anyway, the Internet predictably had Things to Say about the Unicorn frap.
