Amber alert issued for missing Hampton child, mother

Virginia State Police have now issued an Amber Alert for a girl who went missing from Hampton on April 30.

Hampton Police Chief Terry Sult said Johnson was "very closely family oriented" and that her being out of contact with her family for any length of time was a cause for concern.

They last were seen in the 1900 block of Hastings Drive in Hampton, Virginia. She is 2-foot-5 and weighs 20 pounds.

The device is highly expected to be unveiled sometime in June, along with the Moto Z2 and the Moto Z2 Force. The original Moto Z Play boasted a 3510mAh battery, however, the Z2 will only include a 3000mAh battery.

On Thursday, Hampton police officials issued a statement elaborating on the reasons why they believe the missing mother and daughter were abducted.

The alert says police believe the infant was likely abducted by an unknown female and may be traveling in a 2013 black Kia Optima with a Virginia license plate of VAW-2197. Sult said police are continuing to focus on the Hampton Roads area, though they are keeping an eye out everywhere with the help of federal and state law enforcement. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing blue jeans, a t-shirt and glasses, police said.
