Durant's shot sends perfect Warriors over Cavs in Finals

The Warriors had trailed the defending champions for much of the second half, but used a late surge to secure a 15th straight win, the longest post-season streak for any team in the US' four major professional sports.

But the Warriors had other plans, especially Durant as he led his team on an incredible 11-0 run over the final three minutes, including a crushing three-pointer with 45 seconds to play that put his Golden State ahead for good.

That the Golden State Warriors are on a march to another National Basketball Association championship seems nearly inevitable at this point, after their 118-113 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers gave them a 3-0 series lead in the Finals. "(I) just stayed in front of him and luckily he missed the shot".

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving completed breathless drives to the basket for a combined 77 points while Kevin Love battled for rebounds, out-hustling the Warriors on several occasions.

Just like previous year, the NBA Finals are at 3-1 after four games.

"It's part of the rules", James said Thursday, hours after the Cavs fell 118-113 to slip into a 3-0 hole.

Cleveland is now down two games as the Golden State Warriors won the first two matches.

Trump faces tough task unwinding Obama Cuba policy
Continuing U.S. -Cuban relationship appears to be a way to both increase U.S. employment and federal revenue. James Williams, president of Engage Cuba, said in the report , released on Thursday.

"It was just flawless timing at the right moment", Iguodala said. However, both played more than 44 minutes and, by the end, they were spent.

Durant finished 31 points and eight rebounds, with guard Klay Thompson adding 30 points in a breakout performance after two weak games to start the series. Cleveland beat Golden State in the finals past year. This was the Cleveland's game until they collapsed and Durant came to life.

"We obviously know how hard it is to win a championship, what all goes into it and how important each game is". They won a championship, and previous year it was the greatest regular-season team we had played, probably one of the best postseason teams that everybody's ever seen as well, but we were just able to overcome that. "I played against some great teams, but I don't think no team has had this type of firepower".

LeBron James #23 of the Cleveland Cavaliers walks off the court after being defeated by the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of the 2017 NBA Finals at Quicken Loans Arena on June 7, 2017 in Cleveland, Ohio. But just like the first two blowouts, the final scores don't matter in a series, just the results.

"We like the pace; they like the pace", Warriors coach Steve Kerr said before the game.

"That was a great feeling to kind of overcome their run, the crowd's energy and just find a way to win", Curry said on the closing stretch of the game. After the Warriors went up, Irving missed a 3 from his favorite spot on the right side and the Warriors closed it out with four free throws in the final 12.9 seconds before celebrating briefly on the floor and then charging down the hallway to their locker room.
