Mario and Luigi remake announced for Nintendo 3DS

Mario and Luigi remake announced for Nintendo 3DS

Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions players will travel to the Beanbean Kingdom on their rather unusual quest.

Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions will be coming to 3DS on October 6.

This remake looks remarkably similar to the original title in terms of general design, but Nintendo has widely made a decision to update the game's original visuals without severely altering its timeless pixel art style.

Bill Maher on Using the N-Word: 'I Did a Bad Thing'
You can use a weapon or you can use it as a tool. "That's our word now", he continued, "and you can't have it back". Maher acknowledged that "it doesn't matter that it wasn't said in malice" since the word "brought pain to people".

This update includes enhanced visuals, but it also includes a new campaign that has players controlling a squad of Goombas on their mission to save Mario's archenemy, Bowser. First appearing on the Game Boy Advance in 2003, Superstar Saga featured lovely 2D art and a great story that poked fun at Mario and Nintendo tropes. The biggest change that's present in the 3DS remake is the new mode, called Minion Quest, where you take on the role of the small but fierce Goomba Squad as they work to rescue Bowser from Fawful and Cackletta.

Nintendo revealed the game during its Treehouse Live event today at E3 2017 and relayed the news on Twitter. This mode features a brand new additional story that happens parallel alongside the events of Superstar Saga, with a focus on what happened to all of Bowser's scattered minions. The new amiibo and the existing Boo amiibo figure will be compatible with the game.
