Three explosions heard near London Bridge

Police were called at around 10.08pm to reports of a vehicle hitting pedestrians on London Bridge.

At least two people were killed and many more feared injured after the attacks at the London Bridge and Borough Market.

BBC reporter Holly Jones was at the bridge when the van came through and reported the van veered off the road and into crowds of people. British Transport Police said they have received reports of multiple casualties.

Police have also responded to an incident in the Vauxhall area.

The BBC and Reuters report that police are seeking three male suspects.

Transport for London said busy London Bridge station and two others were closed at the request of police.

"Armed officers responded and shots have been fired", Met Police said.

Cops were called to a second wave of stabbings and gunfire at Borough Market minutes after a terror incident yards away at London Bridge.

Canadian officials were monitoring developments in the terrorist attack in London Saturday night, urging Canadian citizens in the British capital to avoid the area. But they said later that turned out to be an unrelated stabbing.

Prime Minister Theresa May has been briefed on the incident and will hold an emergency meeting with members of the government on Sunday.

US President Donald Trump offered his help, tweeting "WE ARE WITH YOU". They also issued safety instructions to those in the areas of the incidents, warning people to run, hide, and contact police when it is safe to do so.

"I'd say there are about four severely injured people".

White House press secretary Sean Spicer said USA president Donald Trump had been briefed on the incident by his national security team.

A group of people at a pub nearby told BBC News that they have been told to stay inside and described people "running everywhere". "The Uber stopped, we asked people what was going on - people said there was shooting", said Yoann Belmere, 40, a French banker living in London.

Alex Shellum was in The Mudlark pub, close to London Bridge, at around 10pm when a woman in her early 20s "staggered into the pub".

About 20 people were injured after a van reportedly ploughed into pedestrians on London Bridge, amid unconfirmed reports of gunfire and stabbing, British media reported.

A witness who gave his name as Jamie was in a restaurant near London Bridge, and told the Press Association: "We heard a fight and everyone got up and everyone rushed out of the restaurant and we heard a massive, massive bang".

The BBC showed a photograph of two possible London attackers shot by police, one of whom had canisters strapped to his body. She also saw a shirtless man being handcuffed and taken into custody. "It looked to me that the van was aiming at the people". That witness said the van hit five to six people.

"I was thinking: Which way do I run to get away?" he said, adding that the van then veered onto the other side of the bridge before hitting a girl.

On March 22, the British Parliament building was attacked by a man who ran over pedestrians with a auto and then stabbed several people.
