What you'll need to vote in the Primary election

A photo I.D.is required to vote, and verifying voter registration prior to Election Day is recommended, according to Halifax County Registrar Heather Harding.

"If you're looking for somebody who is not afraid of controversy, and if you're looking for a victor, then I am your candidate", Stewart said at a recent debate. Among the three, Gillespie is considered the frontrunner. The Republican Party holds 66 of those seats. Eventually, Gillespie earned the the title of principal drafter for Contract with America.

Vogel is a former attorney for the Republican National Committee who advises clients on political election law and other issues.

"He was running a very establishment type race to lock up all the endorsements of elected officials in Virginia, and then Trump got elected".

Hey man, what's your issue?

Should Northam win, it may signal that many voters are still focused on local issues and not as animated by the national battles captivating political observers.

"I do feel it's important for people to understand that we are there to serve the objective of the commonwealth and to serve our citizens, not for any personal gain, and I don't want anyone having any doubts about that", Gillespie said. Northam, who brands himself as a pragmatist, is backed by Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, a longtime supporter and friend of the Clintons, and by both of Virginia's Senators, Tim Kaine and Mark Warner. One thing's for sure, the people are talking about Gillespie. Stewart was one of President Trump's most vocal supporters during last year's election. And it shows that Perriello's sharp contrast with Northam on climate and clean energy is resonating with Virginia voters alarmed by Donald Trump's efforts to send Virginia back to a coal-fired, polluted era.

Backed Syrian militias push into IS-held Raqqa
SDF fighters were armed mostly with light weapons including Kalashnikovs, and were also returning mortar fire on ISIL positions. ISIS militants have been retreating from Raqqa's outskirts in the face of advances by the SDF, Reuters reported Thursday.

"I think if someone looks at my history of public service in Virginia, they will see that I have been unwavering in support of progressive Democratic values", Northam argued.

Jennifer Carroll Foy and Josh King want to be the Democrat to face Republican Laquan Austion in November.

Perriello's coalition, however, isn't just made up of pipeline opponents. There is a late online survey from a new polling firm showing Stewart running even with - and in some turnout scenarios ahead of - Gillespie, which Breitbart News is touting.

And capitalizing on the recent trend where insider status isn't a desirable label in GOP primaries, Stewart has tried to turn Gillespie's stellar resume - former RNC chairman, former adviser to President George W. Bush, near-successful 2014 Senate nominee - against him. The website for the Virginia Department of Elections has everything you need to know.

Wagner has criticized Gillespie as being unrealistic in his proposed tax cuts, and aims to implement a gas tax increase for transportation projects. "And a lot did not", Gillespie said. Given Trump's less-than-average popularity in Virginia and nationally, this seems an unlikely year for the White House albatross to become a advantage.

"I parked the cars for the staff that worked in the big office building on Capitol Hill and one of the people I was parking cars there with had an internship in one of the offices where there was another opening", Gillespie said.
